How important is it to get your hormone levels checked? Extremely! Females often get a little nervous of the word testosterone or associate hormones with "that time of the month." Getting blood work done and testing your hormones can determine if you are in a healthy range.
#Repost ---> "We always want to guess that something is off. We go to the doctor and they say, 'oh that's normal to feel fatigue, irritability, etc.' That's not true. There is usually an underlying cause or issue and can often be a hormone imbalance. Science doesn't lie. It can just be complex. That's where getting bloodwork, having someone specialized analyze it and know your WHOLE hormone health history, and creating an action plan together. You also want to refer to your coach to see what they might want checked.
I'm getting mine checked this week through @bodysymmetry_md. Here are a few things I'm going to evaluate specifically for a full female hormone panel:
-Thyroid: TSH, T4, T3, r-T3
-Estrogen: estrodial (E2) primarily
-hc-CRP for inflammation
Take some time to evaluate the results when you get them back, usually 3-5 days from local lab. If you use an online lab, you will get bloodwork done at a local office and they mail in your sample so it can take up to 2 weeks for results."
