Here is the sun, slowly setting. The night will be warm. Here is my garden, I am finally returned home after so long.
This is where I lay down, on the grass. Here is my body, tired as I am. Here are my hands. Cuts like trails and roads. Here are my legs. Bruises like watercolour.
Here is the treasure I have carried home with me. I have earned it. See the journey on my skin and in my eyes. Here is my voice. It sounds older, more assured than before.
Here is the moon, slowly rising. I think I will sleep under this canopy of ghost light and stars. Tomorrow I’ll tell you about the dream I had.
A new journey. Light. Dark. Blood. Sorrow. Joy. Hunger. Wealth. Disappointment. Success. And finally, a familiar road, back to the bed of grass I’ve made here. Until the flesh fails, we always return home.
One of the personal habits I'm proudest of is stepping out of my comfort zone. This personal blog is yet another unfamiliar territory, putting yourself out there can be nerve wracking and scary but who isn't scared? I'm eager to see how it unfolds and contributes to the larger @instagram community
What personal habit are you proudest of?
