These @cmp_auto_engineering subframe bushings are unlike anything I’ve seen on the market so far. What makes them different? In the company’s owners own words: “Essentially the bushes raise the subframe 8mm closer to the chassis resulting in more of a droop angle at the static position.
This results in the roll centre (axis down the length of the car that the body rotated about in roll) being raised further up.
By raising it up you bring it closer to the centre of gravity.
When a car corners the induced G force due to centrifugal acceleration acts on the centre of mass (F = m * a). Due to the perpendicular distance between the centre of mass and the roll centre the cornering Force indices a roll moment. (T = F * d). By reducing this distance you reduce the roll moment (less body roll) and reduce weight transfer which increases rear wheel grip as two tires of equal loading provide greater cornering performance than two unequally loaded tires as the coefficient of friction is a variable dependent on the weight acting downward on the tire.” As for the hood vents, the reason I chose these was because they mount underneath the hood, rather than on top. I’ve never been a fan of anything that mounts externally, or anything with the riveted look, so this was a no-brainer. I will also be releasing a comprehensive DIY for them, for both you all and @cmp_auto_engineering . #bmw#e46#m3#the46ers#hpf#horsepowerfreaks#turbo#boosted#precision#tial#hks#toyo#fsrmotorsports#apexwheels#rsrr#csl#carbonfiber#agencypower#akg#revshift#uuc#precisionturbo#aem#mnbmw#aeminfinity#mpower#throtl#throtlvip

My order from @cmp_auto_engineering arrived a few days ago! Their topside beam kit, front mount extension kit, solid raising subframe bushings, and their soon-to-be-released hood vents.
Their stage 2 and 2.5 subframe reinforcements will ensure zero subframe failure in the future, and address the problem areas where reinforcement plates do not.
I’ll make a separate post about the bushings and hood vents soon.
Got my banner on, buuutttt little bit of a problem. Don’t put this on by yourself. It was working fine but as I got to the drivers side of the car it had moved nearly an inch. Not good. I got it working but it’s still got a lot of imperfections. Gonna get another later on down the road, and get someone who puts on wraps to do it for me. Hopefully they don’t charge me a lot, but for now at least I got it on lol “on” #throtl#throtlvip#throtlba#pontiacg6

Happy Easter everyone! Installed my new rotors, calipers and mounted my vera air controller. Still waiting for my braided lines but I wanted to have a head start. Heading to eat with family will be back later to button everything up.
