Chest and Triceps woo!! I started with triceps today, just to change it up a little 😁

Overtime the gym has really improved my mood and energy. But the biggest change for me, has been in my confidence! Never in my life have I been so driven and just happy to be me 😁 Keep pushing yourself to be a better you! 
Here’s the workout!

Triceps:
Skull crushers: 4 sets X 8 reps
Dumbell push backs: 4 sets X 10 reps
Overhead cable extension: 4 sets X 8 reps
Cable pushdown: 3 sets X 10 reps
Chest:
Machine flyes: 4 sets X 8 reps
Cable flyes: 3 sets X 10 reps
Seated landmine press: 3 sets to failure
Pushups: 3 sets X 15 reps

Cable One Arm Tricep Extension 4 sets (12 reps)

Here’s how to do a  Cable One Arm Tricep Extension with proper form:

1-With your right hand, grasp a single handle attached to the high-cable pulley using a supinated (underhand; palms facing up) grip. 
You should be standing directly in front of the weight stack.

2-Now pull the handle down so that your upper arm and elbow are locked in to the side of your body. Your upper arm and forearm should form an acute angle (less than 90-degrees). You can keep the other arm by the waist and you can have one leg in front of you and the other one back for better balance. This will be your starting position.

3-As you contract the triceps, move the single handle attachment down to your side until your arm is straight. Breathe out as you perform this movement. Tip: Only the forearms should move. Your upper arms should remain stationary at all times.

4-Squeeze the triceps and hold for a second in this contracted position.

5-Slowly return the handle to the starting position.

6-Repeat for the recommended amount of repetitions and then perform the same movement with the other arm.

Little tricep variation I like to add to target the long head of the triceps! This is great in my opinion on building mass or for tightening up those arms 💪🏽

This looks like a simple wide grip tricep pushdown but it actually may be difficult if you don’t have a lot of experience with complete mind-muscle connection with the long head.

Things I keep in mind when doing this exercise: We’re going wide grip on these.This is gonna be a fixed bar but this is where mind muscle connection really comes in or else it turns to a shitty exercise in my opinion. When you reach full extension, focus on bringing each arm down to the side of each of the hips rather than straight down normally. You don’t literally have to do this but attempting to creates a better angle to maximize the contraction of the long head. Also keeping the elbows tight almost like you’re trying to make them look at each other. Also your wrists might naturally internally rotate a little which is fine.

These things are pretty much not visible to the naked eye so it’ll look almost the same as a reg tricep pushdown but doing those things creates a crazy long head contraction you can see from the video.

This is a little more difficult than some exercises in my opinion but definitely an amazing one if you wanna try something different. There’s a lot of weird variations I experiment with and some are pretty trash so I always try these variations and make sure they’re quality exercises ones and not just look good in theory or by the book. Definitely an awesome one to try if you haven’t already!
