Maxed at 620kg x 15 on leg press and 2x15 with 400kg on V-Squat

GETTING ENOUGH PROTEIN ft. these photos we took took as a troll that actually ended up being portrait mode masterpieces...

Protein is by far the hardest macro to hit in our opinion, did you know that for a product to be marketed as "high protein" it only has to have 20% of its calories to be actual protein, meaning the other 80% can be carbs and fat? For example, "High Protein" Oats so simple have an underwhelming 8g of protein, but 20g of carbs and 3g of fat per serving, but the "regular" version has 3g of protein, to less carbs (16g) and the same fat...so "high protein" equates to 5 pathetic grams...

Don't be fooled by packaging claiming to be high in protein, Protein Balls for example usually have between 8-10g of Protein but usually 10-15g of fat 😬...if you're looking for protein, stick to the basics!

➡️ Protein shakes like this @optimumnutrition pure pro which had FIFTY GRAMS OF PROTEIN but minimal carbs and fat are best when you're on the go - the brand doesn't matter, but some will taste better than others...
➡️ Lean meat: chicken, beef, pork, turkey, panda, tiger etc
➡️ (Some) Yoghurt and cottage cheese (although there's nothing more grim than eating a pot of cottage cheese tbh)
➡️ Jerky or biltong - although I ate some turkey jerky yesterday which was as appetizing as an ashy flip-flop

The majority of foods in the world are delicious and carby (bread, pasta, rice, cake, doughnuts, fruit, muffins, potato, cookies, cinnamon buns etc) so get your protein intake done in the cleanest way possible, so you can use your carbs for something fun!

Meh, today was a weird one! Something felt off with my squats and I can't even tell you what🤷‍♂️

At first I felt sky high but watching back I know I was fine. Things didn't exactly feel too hard or anything but something just didn't feel right🤔🤷‍♂️

Anyway top set wasva wrapped 222.5kg x a fairly comfortable 6 (never hit 220 for 10 but feel I'm capable for  the first time, maybe I attempt it at some point)
.
Went onto them heavy partials with a top set being a couple reps at 340kg (check the close up, my eyes are actually open🤔not that you can tell😂😂)
.
Finished with some rep work for military press, very comfortable 60kg x 10 who knows, I might even bench at some point this year😭😭😂😂

Two years ago Amanda had just finished radiotherapy in the April for breast cancer then started with me in the May. Her main aims were to maintain bone density, decrease body fat and increase muscle mass and fitness. We have certainly done that 💪🏻💕
Amanda never thought she could run, now she participates in weekly park runs, 10k events and has joined a running club 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ She never thought she could lift heavy weights, now she’s giving me a run for my money 💪🏻😂

So what we have here is the most casual 100kg Strict Press I’ve ever done, easy 300kg pull with a poorly secured strap that slips, pause squats vs bands, speed squats, benching, all sorts - you’ll even spot a sumo deadlift and a straight bar squat

Last time i tried to go heavy on OHP, i almost messed up my back. 1 bad rep almost undone all the progress i made getting back feeling better.  These days, i concentrate on time under tension, slowing the rep on the way down with a low weight.
 Its a good way of making a light weight feel heavy 👊

Yes it’s repetitive but that’s the way it’s got to be if you want to get better, plus I love this shit!

Also can we appreciate this leg press, crazy weight for me and something I didn’t think about moving for a good while, but this has become a pretty strong movement for me 😆 .

The kids are off so here is a little half term present from me so you can still keep exercising  and get the kids to join in!! First thing in the morning, get the tunes on, get moving and get the kids involved! 3 workouts this week, which is a major improvement from the last few weeks. 📈 I've noticed I'm a lot weaker than I have been, but looking forward to working on that 💪🏽 Not exactly done @fitbodyapp workouts. I've gone back to week 1 and checked out the workout and modified it. I couldn't keep the app open because my battery nearly ran out on the days I went after work (despite charging on the train 🔋) I do feel like I'm starting from scratch, but if it gets me there then who cares, right?! 💁🏾‍♀️
