Let me tell you why I love this photo (and all the mess behind it).
When I first married Coleby, he wanted to be a civil engineer.
One year of school and two internships later, he decided he hated engineering.
So he took off a year of school and started building and selling custom sliding barn doors.
Then he decided to focus on indoor home renovation.
Then he decided that he never wanted to do construction again, so he sold all of his tools, bought an online e-commerce course, and went back to school.
He then built sales funnels and did marketing for a book company.
Then he manufactured and sold these stretch belts that he had designed for one of his classes.
Then he found a more profitable product and because he’d already learned so much, it took him just a few days to get it up and running.
This picture was taken a few weeks ago after our best sales day ever. (It’s 11pm and he’s putting together product while we watch lost together).
It’s just been so fun to see how everything keeps leading us to the next best thing.
He’s happy. He’s fulfilled. He feels like his best self. AND OH MY GOSH if you could have seen how much he struggled right after his mission you would have so much hope for yourself.
You’re exactly where you need to be. You’re figuring out what you want to do with your life, even if right now you’re just figuring out what you don’t want to do with your life.
It takes time, but that’s why it’s so fun.
