The tricky part about loving and being loved, it's not what you get to feel for the other person... it's what sticks, fades, changes, blooms, dies, emerges and evolves within you, once you allow that person in.
Love is not shared with that special person in order to diminish your flaws or hide your darkest ghosts... Love is poured over two people's lives to see those flaws and soothe them and embrace those ghosts as the intrinsic part of us they are.
And even though...
It still might seem to be love, but they might not be willing to take the flaws and the ghosts.
They might still love you and decide to walk away.
Because giving up on loving someone is not always a defeat, but an act of coherence that comes from realizing the fact that love is a feeling itself...
What you mix it with is the answer whether it's pampering your heart or shredding it apart.
