What I recommend is going in with an attitude of "I CAN have that extra piece of pie, but I'm CHOOSING" not to. This way, it's not about deprivation, it's about choice.

Also, focusing on your WHY and keeping that in mind at all times will help you make choices based on what's more important - the extra piece of pie or being able to keep up your kids on the soccer field this summer (or feeling comfortable in your summer clothes or whatever your personal why is.)

Podemos ver claramente en la imagen que el peso se ve afectado por diversos factores (altura, complexiรณn corporal, raza, % de grasa corporal, % de masa muscular).
Por ejemplo:
โœ”๏ธUna mujer (que hace ejercicio fรญsico) que mide 1.60 cm puede pesar 65 kg, con % de grasa de 24% (saludable) y 37% de mรบsculo ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
โŒOtra mujer (realiza ejercicio fรญsico) que mide 1.60 puede pesar 60 kg, con porcentaje de grasa de 35% (grasa en exceso) y tiene 22% de masa muscular. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ *Son dos de mis pacientes, con la misma raza, misma estatura, similares entrenamientos, que aunque la primera pesa mรกs tiene mejor distribuciรณn de masa grasa y muscular que la segunda.

Iโ€™m not trying to promote โ€œdiet-cultureโ€ or anything like that, actually Iโ€™m doing the opposite. This is just a topic that I personally struggled with & so Iโ€™m simply sharing my own experiences ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘ โ € One of the big things that โ€œI am not aboutโ€ is the whole thing of saying โ€œeat thisโ€ โ€œnot thatโ€ because this is โ€œ #clean โ€ and this is โ€œguiltyโ€ and this is โ€œguilt freeโ€ and this is โ€œdirtyโ€ or any of those UNDEFINABLE words. Basically placing restrictions on yourself based on made up beliefs. I donโ€™t wanna raz anyone using those words because they can be used in the right context where it makes sense. However, when it comes to making progress (whether that is #gaining #weight , #losingweight , improving your performance etc.) what really matters is the net/net of your whole #diet , not if this #protein bar youโ€™re about too #eat is made with #raw ingredients or not. โ € So what Iโ€™m trying to show with this visual, is that if you simply focus on #eating as โ€œcleanโ€ or โ€œhealthyโ€ as possible without paying attention to your overall #calorie /macronutrient intake you are 1. Putting unnecessary restrictions on yourself (cuz guess what ? You can still eat #pizza & reach your #goal ๐Ÿคฏ) and 2. You are just guessing that you are eating the right amount of #food (according to your goal) without actually knowing. โ € Does that mean you should weigh out/ track everything you eat?.. no not necessarily, but levelling up your knowledge about calories will put you in a place where you can easier control your progress without putting restrictions on yourself. I get the whole intuitive eating trend and Iโ€™m all for it (I eat pretty intuitively myself) but there is a difference between counting calories tediously vs leveling up ur knowledge about cals/#macros and by doing so uโ€™ll be in a better position to make choices that bring u towards your #goals .!
