It's been a rough week. I knocked myself out of ketosis because I didn't track hidden carbs and I ended up plateauing at 200lbs. It affected everything from my mood to my energy levels, etc. When I realized that, I went back to very strict OMAD and a very strict carb limit. 2 days later, I found myself back in ketosis and now I'm down to 193.8! Still got a bit of a ways to go but, this is exciting!

It's been a rough week. I knocked myself out of ketosis because I didn't track hidden carbs and I ended up plateauing at 200lbs. It affected everything from my mood to my energy levels, etc. When I realized that, I went back to very strict OMAD and a very strict carb limit. 2 days later, I found myself back in ketosis and now I'm down to 193.8! Still got a bit of a ways to go but, this is exciting!

I'm up 2 pounds from last week....I'm definitely not thrilled about it BUT it's my truth to bare. Yesterday I had a cheat meal and I'm hoping it's water weight but I definitely intend on turning things around in the coming weeks. Today's goal is going to the gym and food prepping this week. Writing the plan in my journal and working the plan. You can think of or write a million plans but none of that matters if you don't work the plan.  I feel I've gotten a late start this year BUT I now understand that perhaps God has placed obstacles in my path for me to overcome them and I'm determined to try harder in the next week's to overcome challenges and turn things around. °

I have stretch marks, loose skin, and a dirty mirror (lol). But I also have happiness.

I realized all those times I tried changing my diet with fads or adjusting my exercise with no professional help...I was just trying to lose weight. This time was different. I was trying to become happy. Happiness was key to me. It gave me that drive that I needed to meet my long term goals. Because for me it really wasn’t about just the pounds, it was happiness.

If I can offer any piece of advice it would be to just start. No matter what your goal is - doesn’t have to be weight related - just start.

Just a little insider on me— I remember when I was one of the ones who only followed weight loss accounts & was in complete disbelief that people could really change their own lives just 6 months ago. I always said, “HOW?!” until I realized the only thing that anyone ever had to do was believe in themselves. I then began to believe that I deserve happiness & a fulfilled life that I never knew was out here for me. There will be days when you want to give it your all & days when you just aren’t feeling it, but ALWAYS remember that no matter how many days in the gym you miss or how many reward meals you give yourself, get right back up. I’m not perfect patty who eats healthy 24/7, because it’s life & we’re HUMAN! Don’t allow anyone to bring you down or make you feel less of yourself because of the decisions that you make. You’re a fucking warrior, so KEEP FIGHTING for what you want. I’m nowhere near where I want to be, but I’m making progress every day to become a better version of myself. I never imagined that I’d ever be in the #onederland again, wear size large tops, OR a freaking size 8 in bottoms... Under: De første 7 kilometer ruller bare. Der er lidt sidevind, men ikke det vilde og jeg tænker bare det egentlig er overraskende let at finde ind i rutinen igen efter så lang tid. Pludselig giver det er ryk i cyklen og min saddel falder ned i vinkel, ikke bare en millimeter eller to, men HELT ned, som i måske 4-5 cm. Jeg stopper, får den rettet op igen og opdager så, at den éne lille umbraconøgle jeg har med er en 4 mm, men jeg skal bruge en 5 mm.... Gode råd er dyre, jeg magter ikke at køre de 7 kilometer tilbage, så jeg tænker, “at det går sgu nok alligevel”..... Jeg sætter mig op kører videre og drejer til højre ad den rute jeg havde planlagt - så rammer modvinden mig med 5000 km/t lige i ansigtet.. Resten af turen hjem er i modvind, en saddel som bare ikke på nogen måde kan holdes oppe i den rigtige vinkel, og er par ben, som bare dør fuldstændigt, fordi jeg sidder alt alt for langt nede i position.

On my Weight Release Journey I definitely still ate well. Even though I shed 60 pounds in seven months I made sure I always eat good so it could be something that I could sustain for a lifetime. Here’s one of my favorite dessert creations. “Poached Pear drizzled in Chocolate Sauce” 
Ingredients - 
For the Pears: Serves 3
▪️3 cups water
▪️1 cup organic grade a maple syrup
▪️2 cinnamon sticks
▪️1 lemon, zested
▪️1 vanilla bean
▪️3 firm pears, Bosc 
For the Chocolate Sauce:
▪️3/4 cups coconut cream, canned ▪️6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped @santabarbarachocolate
▪️1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions -
🔸Combine the water, syrup, cinnamon sticks, and zest in a medium saucepan. Split vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and add both the seeds and the pod to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. 🔸Peel the pears. Reduce the poaching liquid to a simmer and add the pears. Cook until just tender about 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and cool the pears in the poaching liquid, until completely cooled, about 45 minutes 🔸Heat the cream in a small saucepan over low heat. Put the chocolate and butter into a medium-size bowl. Pour the cream over the chocolate and stir until smooth and glossy 🔸Serve the pears with a scoop of ice cream or by itself. Drizzle pear with chocolate sauce. You can also drizzle ice cream with sauce. I love homemade vanilla bean... Enjoy💛

A healthy and sustainable diet consists of 80% WHOLE FOODS and 20% PROCESSED FOODS.

Whole foods should make up the MAJORITY of our meals every day. Whole foods are incredibly NUTRIENT DENSE and most are aldo very LOW CALORIE. They pack in so many ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS that your body needs and will not only help you LOSE WEIGHT but will make you PHYSICALLY HEALTHIER in the long run.

Processed foods on the other hand contain a lot of FAT and SIMPLE SUGARS. They are very HIGH CALORIE and don't really have great nutrition value either. That doesn't mean you have to completely get rid of them. If a burger and fries are your FAVORITE foods you don't have to force yourself into a diet without them, you can still have them in MODERATION. For example,  you can go out on the weekend with friends and have a burger and a small order of fries and still be at a CALORIE DEFICIT when looking at a WEEKLY TOTAL.
