750 g / 1.5 lb chicken thighs , skin on, bone in, halved along bone
Marinade:
2/3 cup  yogurt, 1/2 cup water, 2 tbsp veg oil , 6 minced garlic cloves, 2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
1/8 tsp ground turmeric, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cayenne (adjust to taste), 1/2 tsp ground cardamom, 2 tsp EACH garam marsala & coriander, 1 tbsp cumin, 2 tbsp paprika , sweet / ordinary, 1 3/4 tsp salt
Rice: 3L/3qt water, 2 tbsp salt, 10 cloves, 5 dried bay leaves, 1 star anise, 6 green cardamon pods, 2 1/4 cups basmati rice
Crispy Onions (or use store bought fried Asian shallots): 2 medium onions finely sliced, 1 cup oil , for frying
Saffron: 1 tsp saffron threads (loosely packed) seeped in 2 tbsp warm water for 10 min
Biryani: 1 cup coriander / cilantro , chopped, 60 g / 1/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter , melted 
Garnish: Yoghurt .
1. Mix Marinade in large pot, add chicken. Marinade 3 – 24 hours.
2. Rice: Bring water to water, add everything else. Bring back to boil, then cook 4 minutes. Drain immediately.
3. Fry onions until golden crispy, drain on paper towel.
4. Put covered pot with chicken over medium heat. Cook 5 min. Remove lid, cook 5 min, turning chicken. Turn heat off, put chicken skin side down.
5. Top chicken with half the onions, half the coriander. Add all rice, gently pat down. Drizzle with saffron water then ghee, place lid on. Turn stove onto medium high, as soon as you see steam, turn down to low and cook for 25 minutes.
6. Rest with lid on for 10 minutes then serve, garnished with remaining coriander and onion with dollop of yoghurt (mint yoghurt recipe on site)

Exercise: Deadbug

This is a foundational movement, starting on your back allows you to learn this movement pattern in a very safe and stable position.

The aim of the exercise is to be able to brace the trunk while the extremities are moving. This will benefit you in your everyday movement and allow you to move in a safer and more proficient manner.

Performance:

Start by lying on your back with your arms straight up towards the ceiling and your knees bent to 90 degrees and above your hips.

Keep your chin tucked down towards your chest, your shoulders down towards your hips and your ribs down in to the floor.

You must be able to maintain pelvic control throughout the movement before progressing to the next level (you'll know if you lose pelvic control if your lower back comes up off the ground). As you begin the movement you should start a long and forceful breath out through the mouth, thus creating core tension (imagine blowing out through a straw). Each rep come back to your starting position and reset. Every rep started through a forceful breath out through the mouth and should last the duration of the rep. Take your time moving through the rep, slow and controlled is what you are looking to do here.

What movement you do will depend on what level you are at (see below). Start at level 1 and try 10 reps on each side, alternating left and right each rep and do not progress until you can control each rep successfully (maintain pelvic control). There are 4 levels/prgoressions:
Level 1 (top left) - knee stays bent as you lower your heel towards the floor. No upper body movement.
Level 2 (top right) - leg being lowered straightens completely. No upper body movement.
Level 3 (bottom left) - leg movement same as level 1. Opposite arm stays straight as you lower back towards the floor.
Level 4 (bottom right) - leg movement same as level 2. Opposite arm stays straight as you lower towards the floor.

These type of progressive and very beneficial bodyweight exercises are what we include in our weekly workouts that you can perform at home. You do not need to go to a gym to get a good workout and certainly not to lose weight!

Results this week lost 1/2lbs...not sure why but feeling totally disappointed with this! Feel like I've worked really hard all week for just half 🙄 
Also I'm convinced this means I have my Club 10 but nothing came up as I think the lady was rushing due to the queue...will ask next week and see if I'm due a shiny sticker! 
Going to get my food plan done for the week, try add abit extra speed in & maybe up my cardio in the gym & see if I can get abit closer to my 1 1/2 stone next week with a better loss...💪🏻 Today however I will be having a treat, I mentally need one! 😏

To call these flourless double chocolate protein muffins is the ultimate understatement- You only need one bowl, one blender or one food processor to whip up and voila- You are done. An easy 20 minute bake time in the oven and you’re done.

Because they contain 2 eggs, be a little cautious with the cooking time. Want a fudgier gooey muffin? Remove muffins from the oven when a toothpick comes out ‘just’ clean. Want a more tender cake-like muffin? Cook for the entire duration.
