Working for yourself can be hard sometimes. It gets lonely, which never bothered me until about a year ago. Friends? I dont need people to talk to at work, I have my clients which have my attention ALL day, I dont have time for that anyway?! I started to crave community and even reached out to a few other local girls on instagram. That never really went anywhere. It’s always up to me to push and guide my self in my career. There are no monthly meetings with bosses or quarterly reviews on what I can do to grow. Instead, I have date night with my computer with business courses and online education. I am extremely grateful that I live in time where this is possible BUT, it can’t replace real relationships with like minded people in your field.
I signed up for hairlove last year and I cant believe it’s here. I cannot wait to meet so many incredible like minded women and hang for 5 days. Hiking, yoga, business class, paint party, hair cutting, swimming, and did i mention it’s in Zion national park in Utah?! I can’t believe this is a real thing y’all! Thank you @elizabethfaye for making this all happen. Utah, see ya soon!
