oh my god i haven’t worked out since thursday...of last week...what the hell. I’m just OUT of it guys. I feel so defeated...it’s weird. I’ve been eating 100% clean but I just haven’t been feeling up to it to workout. I went to lift tonight and i was seriously only there for 45 minutes. I didn’t even burn 400 cals at the least 🙄 Sometimes I really just drive myself crazy because I know at the end of the day no one is going to force me to continue on with this journey. I want this for myself but my mind is so much stronger than my body sometimes. So today I thought would share my new ab workout I'm so excited to be starting. Every now and again I like to shake it up with a new workout routine. It get boring doing the same thing.

Here’s a quick little upper body routine for all my fitness folks. I’ve been loving the cables lately so I wanted to share these few exercises with you all! There’s SOO many different exercises you can do on the cables, so don’t be afraid to get creative. Incorporate this routine into your next back and bi day! 💥
And have no shame in your gym face! If you’re not making your ugliest face, then are you really getting a good workout?!

1️⃣ Standing cable crossover: 3 sets x 15 reps
2️⃣ Cable curls: 3 sets x 15-20 reps
3️⃣ Standing cable rows: 3 sets x 15 reps
4️⃣ Straight arm rear delt extension: 3 sets x 15 reps per arm (rear delt it the primary muscle and your lats are the secondary muscle) squeeze at the bottom!

When there’s tornadoes in the area but you *really* needed to get your workout done.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma but Spring storms are an annual reminder of the power and force of nature. My anxiety definitely kicks up during storms but I’m always prepared to jump into my ‘fraidy hole with my tornado bag and fam 😂 what’s in a tornado bag? All our important docs, water, a first aid kit, a couple small towels, a little food for my pupper, a flashlight, a lighter, chargers, wallets, and keys. I am not like the population of my Oklahomies who pop open a beer and whip out the lawn chair and wait for a show to come through. It does have a way of leaving you awestruck because it’s so spectacular. But that stuff is crazy 🌪👀 @autumncalabrese kept me calm by helping me focus on an excruciating Upper Fix. I’ve lost a lot of sleep the last couple nights from this nutso weather and tonight is supposed to be another one. But hey, maybe I can use these growing guns to fight off tornadoes 💪🏻 now that’s some Oklahoman vibes if I ever heard them 😂🙏🏻❤️✨⚡️⛈

Use a band that allows full range of motion, but that is still pretty difficult by the time you get it to your ribs. And make sure you concentrate on pulling your shoulder back and down as you pull the ring towards you to get the most out of this movement.

Ozzy slept for a good chunk but woke up in time for all the ab moves and stretches to play tug of war with my ponytail... ⠀

Meanwhile, my sliders I use are the coolest toy ever for D3. ⠀
⠀
I could easily let the chaos become an excuse to put it off and end up skipping it altogether, but I don’t.  I embrace the crazy, maybe hit pause to redirect them both, and keep going. While I do sometimes miss alone time at the gym, these boys always keep it interesting 🙃 wouldn’t have it any other way ⠀

HIIT PLYO BOX WORKOUT 🏋🏻‍♀️ This is NOT for complete beginners, modify the last three by not using the box. Take a 30 second to 1 minute breaks between each ⭐️
1. Bent knee kicks * 30 seconds each side
2. Jump squat/ sit * 1 minute
3. High jump squats (give your all) *30 seconds
4. Elevated push up to squat (take headphones off lol) * 1 minute
5. Elevated mountain climbers * 30 seconds
5. Elevated plank to squat * 1 minute
REPEAT for 1-2 rounds (hit 20 minutes)
