I’m always on the look out for ways to train my muscles from new angles. A minor angle tweak can get you a long way when it comes to building muscle definition and conditioning.

The video above is of the seal barbell rows. Using a flat bench in place of an incline table can help you better isolate your lats. Some people like doing the incline bench chest-supported rows in their back workouts.

While there is nothing wrong with chest-supported rows, they are an isolation variation for the bent over dumbbell rows. Seal rows are a completely different ball game and need complete discipline and a strict form.

You might use your legs to lift the weights in the incline bench version but having your legs in the air during the seal rows completely eliminate any secondary muscle recruitment.

You might catch a few eye balls while setting up the bench for the exercise (I did), but the time it take to set up and the stares will all be worth it after you get a muscle scorching back pump. 🔱 .
