It's hard to set a routine and stick to it. .
As soon as that routine gets interrupted, you're off your game and all your health goals go out the window. .
You skip a workout, then two, then three and before you know it you’ve skipped a whole month. 😱
You make one bad choice with your food or have one too many drinks and you might as well give it up for the day, or the week, or more…🙄...
Been there, done that. Actually, did that for the last week! .
It wasn’t a planned break. 😔 Maybe my body did need the rest but I let all the excuses get in the way. I got lazy. It happens!
Unfortunately, it’s a vicious cycle. Don’t take care of your health, you feel like crap. Feel like crap, and you lose all motivation to take care of your health. 🔄 I know you know what I’m talking about....
This is where the habits come in. Building healthy habits means that even when you get off track, do you recognize it and you make a plan to fix it. I knew the plan wouldn’t happen in a day or two, so I planned a re-start date. And no matter how hard it was to get back on track today, I used those habits to force myself to do it even when I didn’t feel like it.
Both Madison and I are so happy that we followed our normal morning routine today. 😍Makes such a difference in our attitude and energy level for the whole day. .
