It’s time to jump on a challenge and what better time than the end of the semester 😁 #Posted @withrepost • @katydoesyoga @cyogalife just announced May’s challenge: #YogaWallPaper . I am ***SO*** incredibly excited and honored to be helping out with my teacher @cyogalife’s challenge starting in May. I found Carmen through her @instagram challenges about 4 years ago, so it feels like this journey has come full circle in such an unbelievable way. I hope to offer variations that anyone who’s interested can work towards, so if you have a day where you’re struggling on a pose (I know I still do!), please shoot me a message or leave me a comment. Don’t get discouraged—you can do this! Be sure to follow @cyogalife for the daily poses and @yogawithaislinn and me for each day’s alternative poses.
Here’s Carmen’s description of the challenge: “The first challenge I proposed, all working with the wall, had a huge welcome, and so did the the ones using all kinds of props. Wherever I teach, people often ask for modifications/exercises/break downs of poses they can practice at home, alone and without much gear. A wall is as basic as it can get, yet its versatility is incredible. It can make things more accessible as well as complicate them, both flexibility and strength wise. Personally, it’s a favorite and I constantly find different uses for it. This month I’m highlighting 28 that I hope will help advance your #practice , challenge, but also assist when needed. I don’t know you but me, so many times over the past 20 years, I’ve felt totally stuck, and props like a wall have given endless insights on how to approach all kinds of asanas. I hope it will bring some ‘a-ha’ moments to yours too, while playing safe and having a great time! As I did last month, I’m opening a daily dialog line so you can write comments/questions below the post and I’ll do my best to answer them promptly ☺️. As we usually do: follow @cyogalife repost this, comment, tag friends (easier to finish!) participate and post using #YogaWallPaper Besides my daily pose & explanation, my lovely yogi helpers, Aislinn @yogawithaislinn and Katy @katydoesyoga, will provide with modifications and further insights.
