My self-care is a priority. A total happiness-hack. A game changer.
Prior to a few months ago, this wasn’t the case. I was stressed, my hormones were out of control, I couldn’t make it through the day without 36oz of coffee, I was drinking too much alcohol, I experienced drowsiness & brain fog, and overall I wasn’t my best self.
I’m the type of person that strives with a routine. I function best when my days are planned out. I love to-do lists, meal prepping, and setting goals for myself. I also love having things to look forward to.
Now, I look forward to going to bed early & waking up early. I no longer rush to make coffee & get ready for work in the morning. My mornings look something like this:
I drink warm lemon water, meditate, journal, 20-30 minutes of yoga, walk my dog, dry brush, shower, make a matcha latte, and finally, I compose my to-do list for the day. 🧘🏼♀️📓🍵I don’t always get to everything on this list, but doing a combination of these things has added a new kind of happiness to my life... something I didn’t even know I was missing.
How you start your day sets the tone for the rest of your day. Try waking up earlier (even just 30 minutes) each morning and do something for yourself. ✨You won’t regret it.✨
